Hello and welcome!
My name is Jennifer. I’m a part-time food and wine enthusiast living, cooking and eating in Alexandria, Virginia and wherever life takes me. Cook, baker, writer, photographer, eater… I’ll do it all in the name of a good meal. My “big girl job” is working as a market research professional in Washington, DC.
I love the power of food to bring people together and create community. Everyone sees and experiences food a little differently. Vegan, vegetarian, pescetarian, carnivore, paleo, gluten-free, dairy-free, organic-only, locavore… it’s a lot easier to understand someone if you can label them, isn’t it?
Me? I am equal parts roasted vegetables and chocolate cake. I never was good at fitting neatly into categories.
I started Red Hair Red Wine as a way to bridge gaps in geography, culture, and food lifestyle among friends living across the globe. If you’re one such friend, I hope you’ll consider being a guest blogger for me!
Cheers from my kitchen to yours
~Jennifer
I am so excited to follow your blog! I don’t know how I didn’t see it before. Shame on me. But, I am thrilled to follow along and try your recipes! :)
Abbie, it is so nice to “see” you here! Happy cooking!
I’m Ross Halleck, owner/vintner of Halleck Vineyard. I also write a blog, am passionate about food and wine, and am focused on “building community through wine”. I Googled this phrase to find like minded folks and your blog popped up to the top. I look forward to following your efforts. Please accept an invitation to you and yours to eat and drink together at my vineyard home on your next visit to Sonoma County wine country.
